I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Is it compatible with VoLTE or will I have to quit Fizz and find an alternative?

    What exactly do you mean by "not work"?

    Did you receive a new VoLTE card which is not working or during the calls it switches to 3G?

    Hello,

    @Carl B. #20037

    Check if you have a certified VoLTE Phone https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices

    If your phone is not on our official list:

    Don't panic! If your phone is not on the list of VoLTE certified phones at the bottom of this page, don't panic! For now, you can continue to use your mobile plan, but you will eventually have to change your phone.

    To check if you phone is compatible with the Volte technology try to: Disable the WiFi✔️ Make a call and check the your phone stay in LTE/4G during the calls, if the phone is switch to 3G it means that there is a problem with your VoLTE phone

    More info here https://fizz.ca/en/faq/why-volte-important

    If in doubt you can always consult with the customer support: https://fizz.ca/en/support

    Hello Carl B. #20037,
    Thank you for describing your request to us.
    The phone brand and model you mentioned is currently not a Fizz VoLTE-certified phone. The list is periodically updated when our dedicated team finish to test a phone brand and model and you can wait for it to be updated and see if your model is added, however, if your phone is not on the list, you can still continue to use your mobile plan, however, you will eventually have to change your phone if you need to make calls or send texts from the USA coverage.
    You can see more details regarding this here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices.
    I hope you have a pleasant day!
    -Mihai
