Problem with smart tv.
Hello,
After a bit of a rough start with Fizz speed wise that has been fixed I am now facing a new problem. My 2014 Sony smart tv, located in the bedroom, drops the wifi signal every night. This is a tv that is only turned on at night and every night I have to setup the wifi in order to watch a couple of youtube videos. Never experienced that with the videotron service I had before moving to Fizz.
Thank you for the help.

Hello, 👋
Please, consider wiping your list of previously connected wi-fi networks from your TV list ( under your TV Wi-Fi settings )
Restart your device
Completely turn off your device and wait ten (10) seconds before starting it. Following its startup cycle, the device must authenticate again to the Wi-Fi network.

You could also try to:
Reset your TV to it's factory settings, maybe will fix it !?
I hope it helps your, but if in doubt you can always contact support: https://fizz.ca/en/support

Hello trapa,
Sorry to hear about the issues.
I checked your modem`s signals and it looks like there were a few issues a few days ago, but the situation appears to have been remedied.
On the WiFi side, for the TV, it appears that there are connectivity issues on the 5 Ghz band, so please disable the band steering, by following the details found here at step 4 : https://fizz.ca/en/faq/my-wi-fi-network-cutting-how-do-i-fix-it then connect the TV on the 2,4 Ghz network specifically and check if you have the same issue.
Reach our customer service if the situation persists.

Thank you for your understanding.
Have a good one,
