On line services are good. But sometimes I would prefer to speak directly by phone

I have been a member since last 2 weeks and the service is quite nice. More widespread VoLTE (call quality) and Wifi calling can be icing on the cake!

I am new to fizz and have a few questions. We plan on possibly doing some travel in the USA for a period of less than 3 months each (I am aware of the 3 month time limitation) and want to know what is the best plan for us.

1/ If I purchase the Canada/USA plan does that give me data, text as well as voice calls in the USA without any roaming charges?
2/ Can I change my plan from a Canada only plan to the Canada/USA plan for a couple of months and then change it back after we return to Canada? If so is there a charge change the plan?
3/ If I purchase the Canada/USA plan, is there any benefit to purchasing the USA roaming plan as well?
4/ If I purchase the USA roaming package, is this something I can do for a month or two or do I need to it permanently be on my plan and pay for it even though I am not in the US for most of the year?

Apologies ahead of time if these are deemed “stupid” questions, I just want to be clear about the difference between the plans before I commit.

    Thanks in advance.

Not “stupid” at all. It’s smart to plan ahead.

Yep, the Canada+USA plan includes data, text and calls on both sides of the border—no roaming fees while you’re in those zones.

You can switch your plan before your next payment cycle. No fee to change, just make sure the change is confirmed before the next cycle starts.

No need to buy a USA Add-On if you’ve already got the Canada+USA plan.

Add-Ons are one-time only. They kick in right away and last for your current and next billing, so no need to keep them longer than needed.

    Here are addtionnal details: https://fizz.ca/en/mobile/canada-us?ADDONS[0]=18&CVRG=109&DATA=106&PLAN=3&SMS=223&VOICE=90&WIZARD=mobile
Hope that helps clear things up.

Hello to all Fizzers. We are a brand new team eager to connect with this great and wonderful Fizz Community Hub. We want to get to know you, and we want you to feel at home here.
What topics would you like us to cover in the coming weeks?

I would like a feature to hide all "closed" conversation threads on the forum, so that I can easily respond to threads that are not yet concluded.

Thanks for bringing that up. The price difference between SIM cards inside and outside Quebec reflects regional market conditions and regulations that can impact pricing. We understand it raises questions, and we’ll make sure to pass along your comment to our team 📲

    Appreciate the tag.

That’s right, eSIM comes at no cost, but just a heads-up: availability and requirements can depend on your device and plan.
