    Hello Johnson,

Thank you for being part of the Fizz community!

I just verified your account, and I see that the transfer got an error due to the information added during the transfer attempts. In order to resolve this, please contact us in private from this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/support .

We can retry the order, however first we will need some information from you.

I am counting on your understanding and we will wait for you,

    Have a good day,

    -Georgian

    Hi @Johnson

    This is the procedure

    Before you start.

The most important thing to remember to transfer your phone number over to Fizz is that your plan with your current provider must still be active. Fizz will disconnect your old provider during the transfer process.

    You need:

The IMEI of your phone. To find it, dial *#06# on the phone you are using with your current provider. If the IMEI number is more than 15 digits long, only use the first 15.

    OR

Your account number. Check your most recent bill from your current provider. See account number formats.

Last but not least, get yourself a Fizz SIM card. Where to buy a SIM card.

    Ready, set, go.

Go to fizz.ca/activation. When you get to the step for a phone number, select the option to transfer your number to Fizz, and follow the on-screen steps.

Important: Leave the SIM card of your current provider in your phone. This provider will send the person using the number (chances are that’s you!) a transfer authorization request by text message to confirm the number transfer.

    The transfer authorization is key.

The transfer authorization request is a text message sent by your current provider to the current user of the phone number to confirm their wish to transfer the phone number over to Fizz.

Failure to reply “YES” to the transfer authorization request by the set deadline means that your request to transfer your number over to Fizz will be automatically cancelled. If you haven't received the transfer authorization request by text, you must contact your current provider directly.

    The last step.

After replying to the transfer authorization request, you may insert your Fizz SIM card into your phone. Keep an eye on your texts and emails. We’ll be in touch as soon as everything is ready.

The transfer of your number can take up to two hours. Should there be any issue, we’ll send you an email as well as an in-account notification explaining the glitch pertaining to your situation, and the next steps to address it. To check your in-account notifications, sign into your account and click on the bell icon next to your name.

    Numbers that cannot be transferred.

While the vast majority of phone numbers can be transferred, there are exceptions.

Your phone number must be a mobile number. If it's associated with a landline or VOIP, it cannot be transferred over to Fizz. Same goes for an administrative phone number — for example, a number associated with an organization or public institution.

If your number starts with an area code outside the Fizz subscription area, your number cannot be transferred.

And don't forget to use a referral code, you can use mine which you can find after the _ or you can pick one from here, and you will get 25$ at your second month. https://forum.fizz.ca/en/discussion/2198337/this-is-the-place-for-your-referral-codes-here-and-only-here

How do I order a SIM card?

    Order online

    Getting it yourself

The SIM card (subscriber identification module) will connect your phone to the Fizz mobile network so you can use the mobile plan you create.

Keep in mind, however, that Fizz does not offer business services: SIM card (their order and their use) are limited to a residential use.

    Order online
    1. Just like anything else these days, a Fizz SIM card can be delivered right to your door. You even get to keep your slippers on.
    2. New to Fizz?
    3. Go to fizz.ca and create your mobile plan. Follow the on-screen steps and order your SIM card. Obviously, your address must be located within the Fizz subscrition area.
    4. You can also order a SIM card when you buy a phone on fizz.ca. Just add it to your order.
    5. You're looking to add a new plan to your account?
    6. With Fizz, you can add and manage several plans in your account. You can therefore purchase several SIM cards at once, all of which will be delivered in your name. Look for the Add a mobile plan tile
    7. on the Overview page in your account and follow the steps.
    8. Need to replace your SIM card which is already activated and associated with your plan?
    9. Sign in and go under My plans > Manage plan > Change SIM card. From there, you’ll be able to order a new SIM card to replace the one you currently have.
    10.
    11. Good to know: Once you submit an order for a SIM card, you cannot cancel it.
    Getting it yourself
    • Our SIM cards are available in participating Couche-Tard stores
    • We also have vending machines in the busiest stations of the Montreal subway

    1. Why do I need a SIM card?
    2. I ordered a SIM card. How long will it take to arrive?
    3. Who is delivering my SIM card? How do I track my shipment / contact the shipper?
    4. I received my SIM card. How do I activate it?
    5. I just activated my plan. How long until it’s ready to use?
    6. I’ve waited more than two hours and still can’t use my plan. What’s wrong?

How do I activate my SIM card and create my mobile plan?

    Choosing my phone number

Inserting the SIM card into my phone

An issue with the number transfer?

    Locking my SIM card?

    Activating my SIM card
    1. If you don’t have a SIM card, getting one is really simple.
    2. - If you’re buying a phone on fizz.ca, you can add one to your order.
    3. - If you plan to use your own phone, you’ll still need a Fizz SIM card. To order one, create your account on fizz.ca (unless you already have one). Once logged in, go in Overview, and select Get started in the create your plan tile. From there, you’ll be able to order your SIM card.
    4.
    5. There are three (3) ways to get to the SIM card activation page:
    • Log into your Fizz account, and go under Overview. Select Get started in the create your plan tile. There, you’ll have the opportunity to activate your SIM card.
    1. or
    • In the fizz.ca menu bar, click on Mobile/Activate my SIM.
    1. or
    1.
    2. Once there, simply enter the activation code on your SIM card in the field provided.
    3.

    2. How do I track my shipment / contact the shipper?
    3. I ordered a SIM card. How long will it take to arrive?
    4. I ordered a SIM card but haven’t received it. What do I do?
    5.
    Creating my plan
    1. Once your SIM card has been activated, you’ll need to create your perfect plan. The Plan Wizard will help you:
    • Adjust the amount of data, the number of texts and minutes.
    • Choose your coverage area — Quebec, Canada or Canada + U.S. (Hawaii and Alaska are included in the Canada + U.S. coverage area).
    • Decide whether you want voicemail and international calling options.
    1. At the bottom of the Plan Wizard you will see your monthly fee, which adjusts based on your selected plan details. Some Fizz calling options — such as call display, call waiting, call forwarding and conference calling — are always included in any plan.
    2. Once you’re happy with your plan details, click Confirm. Know that you can adjust your plan throughout your Fizz journey — changes will take effect at the start of your next payment cycle.
    3. Important: incoming texts are always free, but incoming calls are not. If you do not have minutes in your plan and no funds in your wallet, be aware that you will not be able to receive calls.

    To learn more:

    1. How do I change my plan?
    2. What if I only want a data plan, without texts or minutes?
    3.
    Choosing my phone number
    1. When creating your plan, you’ll need to choose your phone number. There are three ways to select your phone number:
    2. Transfer your current phone number from your previous mobile provider.
    3. (Your number must be active to transfer from another provider.)  Learn how
    4. Ask Fizz to give you a new number.  Learn how

    5. Find a number by entering the last 4 digits. (This option has a one-time $1 fee.)  Learn how
    6. Your phone area code is linked to the postal address associated with your Fizz account.

Inserting the SIM card into my phone
    1. If you’re planning to use your own phone on the Fizz network, make sure it’s unlocked. Learn about unlocking your phone
    2. Your SIM card has been activated, you created your plan, and your phone is ready. Time for the exciting part :)
    3. The Fizz SIM card is detachable in three different formats (mini, micro and nano). Make sure to insert the correct SIM card format for your phone. If you detach the wrong format, don’t worry — the Fizz SIM card can be “reattached” in the right format.
    4. IMPORTANT: Insert your SIM card the right way around to allow the connectors on the card to establish contact with your phone.
    5. Turn your phone on, and wait:
    • If you selected a new number, configuring your plan won’t take long. We’ll send you a text when your plan is ready to use.
    • If you’re transferring your phone number to Fizz, the process can take up to two (2) hours. In the meantime, you can use Wi-Fi and the data in your plan. You can also make calls or send text messages, but you won’t be able to receive any. We’ll send you a text when your plan is ready to use.
    1.
An issue with the number transfer?
    1. If you’re waiting to use your plan because you transferred your number to Fizz, and you’ve been waiting for over two (2) hours since the activation of your plan, the delay might be caused by issues encountered when transferring your number.
    2. There are several reasons why we may have been unable to transfer your current phone to your Fizz plan.
    3. You will receive an in-account notification explaining why the transfer failed, as well as the next steps for solving the problem. How to check your Fizz notifications.
    4.

    To learn more:

    1. I’m having problems transferring my current phone number to Fizz. Why? What can I do?
    2.
    Locking my SIM card?
    1. Most mobile phones offer the possibility of adding a PIN in order to access the SIM card. After you turn on your phone, if the PIN security feature is enabled, you will be prompted to enter a 4-8 digit PIN.
    2. If you enter the wrong PIN several times, the SIM card will be locked. If your SIM card is locked and your phone asks you to enter a PUK code, you can obtain this code in your Fizz account (My plans > Manage plan > Unblock SIM card)
    3. As a security measure, when you change your PIN do not use the same PIN that you had before.
