Modem gateway DHCP was improperly configured after factory reset
Hello! I've been having issues with my internet connection ever since i upgraded to the 200Mbps plan.
The internet would occasionally drop for a few seconds every minute, making internet browsing, gaming, streaming, etc. a pain. Then, towards 1:00 AM, the router would lose connection for a good while. This would persist after changing the coaxial cable, changing modem location, a factory reset, and even after the involvment of a Videotron technician sent by Fizz.
Thankfully, I think I've found the source of the issue.
The modem (CODA-4680-FIZ (2A)) was giving the local ip 192.168.0.10 to multiple devices at the same time, either through ethernet or wifi. the DHCP range, by default, was 0.10 - 0.200.
Changing the range manually seems to have fixed DHCP, but i'd rather use static IPs from now on, at least until the issue is fixed in the gateway's firmware.

Hi @Alexandros
If you tried the factory reset, it is strange . Did you logged in the browser interface and change the Leasing time?
Usually this is a day or weeks

How is that related to the speed?

After a factory reset, the leasing time was set to 1 day. Changed it to 30 minutes, waited, and the issue persisted.

Hi @Alexandros
I will set more to a week, and I will release the IP from each computer and ask for a new one
Do you have other DHCP server at home?
