Maximum SMS capacity

Presently I am unsure wether or not I have reached the maximum SMS capacity for my phone because I no longer receive text messages; not even the authentication ones. Does a Fizz community member know how to help me determine this and hopefully receive with no problem?

    Hi @alg

only to be sure, are you talking about SMS or MMS

If you are talking about MMS (Multimedia messages) , in order to receive this kind of message, you need to have data, if you don't have any data left, you cannot received them.

    You can chat in direct

    • Sign into your account

    • Follow the link on this page: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/im-unable-log-my-fizz-account-what-do-i-do

    • Wait 3 seconds for the green bubble with a '❔' appears at the bottom right of the browser, if you use a phone you must use it in desktop or horizontal mode

    • Choose the option 💬 chat

    • If the green bubble does not appear make sure your ad blocker is disabled, otherwise try with another browser.

    Hello alg,

If you are referring of the messages from the native application of the phone, for most of them the limit is 1000. As some members already told you, you can verify for your phone on the internet.
As long as your phone has enabled the option "Delete old messages", you should be good :)
Most common steps to verify this are: Launch the messages application -> Click settings -> More settings or Advanced settings and verify if the Delete old messages option is enabled.
In case you have any other questions related to the Fizz services, you can contact us anytime in private from this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/support

I hope this helped you and I wish you a great day,

    Hi @alg

This depends from your phone, try to delete couple of messages.

You can also try to put the phone in airplane mode for couple of minutes.

Or change the network operator, wait 30 seconds, and set it back to automatic

one thing I know there is no limit of SMS has tank ... it's the storage capacity of the cell phone that makes the limit

Exactly, all depends on the phone capacity. So you can just search for it in the Internet.
