How to fix error 38 when sending SMS to iPhone users?
I have a new Pixel 6a and texting was fine out of the box. For the past two days, incoming and outgoing SMS messages from IPhone users are not going through. I have turned off iMessages on my old iPhone. Smsc is set to +14385200092. Have reset the Pixel. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Probably that all sms are not working, but, with Android, you probably use the new RSC system.

If the issue is just with iPhones users, there is a good chance that the texts they send are from iMessage. iMessage works only when you have an apple device.
The texts that you are able to see from an apple device is the green one. The green text message is the message using the native application for texting.
If the message you see there that is blue, then the message you've sent is using iMessage.
