drop calls after 10 min

I recently switched to VoLTE sim card. i am now experiencing dropped calls after 10 mins. i call back and again after 10 mins the call drops.

Is this being experienced by anyone else?

    It's a strange phenomenon!

    It's systematic? All your calls cut off at 10 minutes? 10 precise minutes? No change over time? With all your interlocutors? it's been since you changed your SIM, from the first call? Your signal is good? What device do you use?

  • yes. it's been going on since last week but it could have started when i switched to VoLTE sim card. i don't use talk longer than 10 mins at a time but on the occasions i went more than 10 mins i noticed the call was cutting out on every call. At 9 mins 30 sec i hear 3 beeps then at 10min precisely the call cut out. signal is good. i'm using an iPhone 8.

    @Brent I.

    Go to Connections>>Mobile networks>>Network mode

    Choose WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)

    This will knock out 4G LTE networks and allow better calls stability.

    Once the call is completed go back to the

    LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) setting so you can use data.

    At home, if you have access to WiFi, you can wait until you leave home to restore the initial LTE setting.

  • This just happened to me exactly as you described. The Beeps then the call dropped at exactly 10 minutes. I haven't changed anything to do with my phone or my plan or my sim card in the 3.5 years I've been with Fizz. Rebooted my phone, so I'll see if it happens again.

    Same thing happened to me. After exactly 9:30 min, I hear 3 beeps. Then after exactly 10:00 in the call, the connection is droped.

    I'm still on the original SIM (a few years old)

    Happened several times today.

  • Same for me. Got the new VoLTE sim card, didn't make a 10+ call before today. Today I had long calls to make to services that put me on hold and had tons of issues because of this.

  • Fizz had this issue several times in the past unfortunenately.

    It happens again now.

  • So I just finished chatting with FIZZ support - they solved my issue. They had me go into my connection setting on my phone and turn off the option to have my phone select my network automatically. Then I had to select a FIZZ EXT network and try a 10+minute call (which worked) then after select a regular FIZZ network and do another 10+ minute call and it worked. I was told I would have to do this everytime if it happened again. Hopefully this might solve the issue for someone else.

    Had the same thing yesterday. Sent Fizz a message on Messenger (the chat queue was too long). Dropped call exactly at the ten minute mark.
