Hello,

My Fizz modem is connected to my pc via ethernet. I get internet access just fine. However, when I attempt to use my home wifi, my devices will connect to it but will not be able to load anything.

The Fizz WiFi app says my modem's connected to the internet(18mb/s) and also my phone(50+mb/s), but it refuses to work wirelessly regardless.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hello RapidKebab,

Sorry to hear about the situation encountered!

As suggested, usually a reboot ( unplugging the modem then plugging it back in the power outlet ) helps, but it can sometimes even be a device issue, as it won`t allow you to connect to the network so be sure that you also restart the devices in the meantime.

    Hi @RapidKebab

Can you start check the wifi configurations? For example IP assignation and DNS should be configured in automatic for the wifi

    You can chat in direct

    • Sign into your account

    • Follow the link on this page: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/im-unable-log-my-fizz-account-what-do-i-do

    • Wait 3 seconds for the green bubble with a '❔' appears at the bottom right of the browser, if you use a phone you must use it in desktop or horizontal mode

    • Choose the option 💬 chat

    • If the green bubble does not appear make sure your ad blocker is disabled, otherwise try with another browser.

The last time I had the same issue I restarted the Fizz box. Unplugged the power cord for 30s then re plug it. The system will do all the self check on startup.
