Not connecting to internet after setting up modem

The technician delivered my modem about two hours ago. I followed all the steps to set it up and the lights are stable, not flashing, and look like they are supposed to according to the tutorial. I was also able to change my internet name and password and I see in my phone I am connected to the internet. However the internet is not working and I am not really connected. My account says my activation is still pending. How do I fix this so that I can really access the internet? Thank you.

    You must chat with an agent directly using the live chat function. To contact them on the live chat you have to go to any of the FAQs and click the (?) in the lower right corner of the screen. Once you do that you will have to click on the (...) three dots which represent the live chat function. https://fizz.ca/en/support#gsc.tab=0

    I have also restarted the modem about twice now and it has not helped.

    If the connection doesn't work already, please perform a reset to the modem by unplugging it a few seconds from the electrical outlet and plug it back.
