Slow internet in LaSalle area

Hi, it's been three days now that we're experiencing a strong degradation in our download bandwidth, from 120 Mbps to 3 Mbps — reported by fast.com. My Google Wifi service even times out when trying to measure the download bandwidth...

Is anyone else in the south of Montreal experiencing such service degradation?

Thanks,

    Hello @Dom2021 ,

    Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the services!

    We tried to check your signals, and there were some slight variations but nothing major.

    However, we think if you have your own WiFi router attached in bridge mode to ours.

    If you do have one, please remove and factory reset the Fizz modem to reset the settings and also refresh the connection.

    To do so, please press the small button on the back of the modem ( in the small orifice ), using a sharp object for about 20 seconds until the modem reboots itself.

    You will then need to connect to the default network using the default password on the white label.

    Wait a few minutes after the factory reset and check again if you have a working connection as more details can be found here : https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-install-my-wi-fi-modem

    Check if the Easy connect interface pops-up after the factory reset and if does not try to log to the modem`s interface via 192.168.0.1 from any browser.

    using these :

    • Username: cusadmin
    • Password: the password written on the white label on the back

    Test the connection with 1 device via WiFi and 1 via Ethernet, and check if the issue was resolved.

    If it was not, please do reach us back on Live chat, as you previously did for further investigations.

    Have a good one,

    -Raul :)
