US Data Roaming Issues

I have the Canada + US plan and have always had a good experience using my phone in the US.

But last week my phone seemed to refuse to stay connected to LTE signals and would drop to 2G, which is too slow to really do anything with. Turning airplane mode on and off usually would reconnect to LTE temporarily, but it would inevitably go back to 2G eventually (sometimes staying on 3G for a bit in-between).

I had no issues in the same area with the same device this spring, so I was wondering if something had changed with the partner networks?

    Hi,

here's how to contact Fizz’s support team directly to inquire about that issue, they will be able to do some further investigation to provide advice as well as precise answers to cerrect this situation in the future. You can do it by opening the following link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/resolving-issues and simply scroll down until you see the green bubble, then click on it to start your chat session with the customer service.

If the chat bubble still does not appear at the bottom of the page, on the right, after a few seconds, the number of pending sessions is higher than the service’s processing capacity. At that time, you can leave a message on the other proposed communication channels:

-By private message on Facebook/Messenger: https://facebook.com/fizzca.

-By private message on Twitter : https://mobile.twitter.com/fizz_ca

    -Whatsapp : (438) 393-5814

    Hello gilchrma,

I am sorry to hear about this situation.
You could try manually searching for networks, maybe there is a different one you can connect to that will provide a better signal.
In case this will persist, please follow the instructions Dapfizzer provided to reach our support for further investigations.

    Have a good one,
    -Alex
