Hi!

I adjusted my plan a few days ago but it said it would only change the 20th(my start date). Is there a way to see the changes before then? I changed from Quebec only to a full Canada+US coverage as I'm going to the US next week i really need to know if it worked.

When I click on adjust plan again, it says to try after the 20th.

Thanks!

    Hello @Samuel K. #5524,

Thank you for posting your question on the forum,

I have verified your account and sadly, I do not see any plan change request.

Right now, you will not be able to adjust the plan anymore, as the system is frozen 108 hours before your payment cycle ends. However, you will be able to adjust your plan when your payment cycle renews on 20/02. Also, the changes will take effect, on the next payment cycle ( basically you will not get the new option right away).

Furthermore, as you were informed when you went to the "adjust plan" section in your account, you have a preferential price on this plan. That means, if you will be making a plan change, you will be paying the prices that are currently available on our website: https://fizz.ca/en/mobile

More details on the plan change can be found here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-change-my-mobile-plan

    And here: https://fizz.ca/en/plan-change-policy

In the meantime, you can buy a travel Add-On or add money to your wallet (Pay as you go).

To get an add-on all you need to do is log into your account> go to my plans> manage the plan Travel and follow the on-screen steps.

On this FAQ you have all the details: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/im-travelling-outside-my-coverage-zone-what-are-my-roaming-options

To add money into your wallet, you can do that by going into your account> manage plan> wallet.

Thank you for your kind understanding!

    Have a good one!

A freeze period is in effect 108 hours (4.5 days) before the end of your payment cycle, during which time no changes can be made to your plan.

Important: Any change to your plan must therefore be submitted 108 hours (4.5 days) before the end of your payment cycle to come into effect at the beginning of your next payment cycle. Not respecting this delay means changing your plan will be impossible and you will have to wait for the next payment cycle.

You can change your plan at anytime by loging into your account. Although, the changes you make will only take effect at the beginning of your next payment cycle.

So if im understanding right, i can also just change my plan at the start of my billing cycle and the changes would affect immediately if my changes didnt go through before?

I received a email today with my old service agreement.

If you have already made the change to your plan, in the agreed time, the change will effectively take effect at the beginning of your next payment cycle.

If you did not make the change on time, then the changes to your plan will only be effective the next payment cycle, as mentioned above.

Exactly, if the changes were made on time, your plan will have been modified for this upcoming payment cycle on February 20.

Right now there is no way of checking if the changes went through on time other than wait for the 20th?

Let’s say you made this change to your plan the day before yesterday, you're on time and your plan will be well modified for the 20th.

  • Hello @Samuel K. #5524, as others have pointed out, any changes to your regular plan come in to effect at the start of your next monthly period. The Canada + USA plan does not include roaming in the US, just distance to the US from Canada. If you want to use your Fizz phone while in the US, you must purchase a travel add-on. Add-ons come in to effect immediately but do expire. I suggest another option is to buy a pre-paid SIM in the US if you will spend any lengthy period of time there. Another option is to install a good calling/texting app and use it on WIFI at your hotel, public library, etc.

Since Fizz is prepaid, you already paid for this period, that's why changes only take effect at the next cycle. This is different from say rogers who offers post paid where you get a bill at the one of the month for the past period.
