    Hi Or6

you need to be sure that the data roaming is on

also that the network operator is automatic

and finally the APN configuration https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn

Sometimes the AUTOMATIC network selection is NOT correct.

So if you have purchased a Travel Addon, your phone Roaming on, and your APN settings are correct, then check to see what NETWORK cariers/operators are available.

You sometimes need to manually change it to another network.

Fizz does NOT necessarily have agreements with ALL the operators.

Emporium has a good point @Or6 , your phone does not know which carrier has a contract with Videotron/Fizz.

So you may have to cycle manually until you get the correct one. Be patient while doing so.

It's like a foreigner coming here and his phone gets automatically switched to Bell while in fact it should have been Telus because his home carrier/provider has no contract with Bell but only Telus.

As an example, the next capture shows that the cell picked DiGi but others are available.

  • Hello, the other comments are valid but another option international travelers use is to buy a prepaid SIM from a local provider. This is often less expensive and more flexible than purchasing add-ons. Happy travels.

Correct, and sometimes you get more than just data; sometimes you get free data usage for certain apps like Facebook, Whatsapp, ...

You get many offers directly at the airport.
