Hello,

I have poor signal in the second part of my house (little appartment over the garage). Its quite far from the modem (+- 100 ft). I tried to install wifi extenders and repeaters with little success.

There is a cable wire in the apt. fyi. Im looking for a solution. Could you help?

thx

I don't think Fizz or Vidéotron would (but I could be wrong), but places like BestBuy (Geek Squad) might.

You could try to relocate the modem to a more central location (if you need the Fizz cable relocated, THAT is something the tech could do for a fee). You could try a mesh network with nodes throughout your house, they can give better results than plain old repeaters. You could try adding a wired access point, but you'd need to pass some cat5/6 cables or find one that works over electrical wires or cable wires (I know those exist, just couldn't find a model number for you quickly).

Something like this might work over coax, but do your research first as I'm no network expert: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B088KV2YYL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_382HE430GNT24DF5BCXR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

For one, I believe the cable must be "dedicated", you cannot reuse the same cable that would also be used for TV or internet (could be wrong, again additional research could be required).
