Hi,

I'm living in downtown Montreal and activated my tel today which is (450) *****. When I call someone, it says Lachute, Quebec which is not correct. Do I need to change my number as the area code for Montreal is 514?

When I was choosing the phone number, the website did not tell anything about this issue.

    Sorry you cannot change the area code of an existing number. Fizz only offers to change your last 4 digits. And 514 numbers are quite rare nowadays and I'm not even sure Fizz give them at all.

    Also, I'd strongly suggest to avoid showing personal information on a public forum such as this one. You'll get robocalls, or worse phishing attempts. Tagging a @Whizz to help you on this matter.
