Do I need to have the modem for the moving installation?

Hi! I have scheduled a moving appointment for tomorrow morning. I was wondering if the technician can still install the service without the modem. I was planning to bring the modem later on in the day. Will this cause issues for the technician?

    Hello Patrick,

Thank you so much for your message. Checking your account, I notice you were able to reach us as well in the meantime and we informed it would be best to have the modem with you as well, during the technician's appointment. This way, besides checking the cable connections, he can make sure the plan and modem are configured to work successfully at the new address too.

The technician will verify cable signal strength at your new place, you connect your modem later, make sure your internet account is active.

    Hi Patrick,

Technicly and due to the Covid-19, the technician, as Vanigh said, will verify the cables from the outside.

If everything is ok, you will have to connect the modem by yourself.

Its better to have the modem but the technician can still check but you will have no warrantie if nothing work when you try the modem later.
