Only receiving certain Text messages ?

Hello Fizz community
I am receiving text messages from fizz users and videotron users only. Why I cant receive text messages from users that have other operators, such as bell, rogers, virgin, etc but from fido yes I have received?
By the way, i didn't select text messages option within my plan but I can receive messages unlimited according to description. However, the issue is that sometimes I receive messages and some other times I don't.
Can anyone explain what's going on?

If you have recently activated your plan and transferred your number over from another provider, this can be a temporary situation while your number transfer is being processed.
Otherwise, try restarting your phone. And if the situation continues, you can Live chat with Fizz support:
1- Connect to your Fizz account by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca
2- Any ad blockers in your browser should be disabled.
3- Open a help link page from Fizz Solution Hub: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-make-sure-my-mobile-service-working-properly
4- The green chat bubble should appear after a few seconds in the bottom right corner.10 -
Your right you have free incoming text and he should work from any brand. You can contact the support. Its more for the data but have you put the Fizz APN ? ( https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn ). This can help you. Have a nice day9

I do not know why you only receive certain messages, you should receive them all even with a plan with no text messages.9

To get more help about thoses texts you are not receiving, dont hesitate to contact the Fizz customer service by chat.
First, log to your Fizz accoubt.
Click on:

Click on the green interrogation point down to the right of the page and click on the green chat bubble.5 -
Maybe your phone number is not fully transferred.
You should contact Fizz about this issue:

Hi Carolina,
I can see that your number was successfully transferred over to Fizz 2 months ago and you normally should be able to receive any SMS from any number, no matter the provider.
Please make sure that your number is correctly configured to the SMSC, make sure that you have the most recent OS installed on your phone and also be sure to test the SIM card in another phone as well.
