Did you waited the next billing cycle?
Did you check your service agreement or the transaction history to see if the modification are applied?

Please explain what is free call. As far as I know, there is no plan with free calling.
To make calls with Fizz mobile, you must have
- unlimited calling included your plan
- or a calling add-on
- or money already in your Fizz wallet
.
Also you should be able to call if you are within your plan subscription or coverage area.
For phone troubleshooting: Please turn ON Airplane mode and then turn it back OFF, turn on Data roaming and then turn it back OFF, make sure you're connected to Fizz, turn OFF the Wi-Fi, make sure that your OS is up to date and if neither of these steps helps you out, please pop out the SIM card from your phone then pop it back in, restart the phone and then reset the mobile network settings:
- Android: Settings → General management → Reset → Reset network settings
- iPhone: Settings → General → Reset → Reset network settings

Yes, when you change the plan you need to wait for the next cycle.7 -

If you paid you are ok
To be sure you need to change your plan at least 48 hours before the new billing cycle and wait the new billing cycle in order to have the plan changed.
If you paid the new change, you need to contact the support to validate with them.5 -

If you have changed your Fizz mobile plan, this modification will be effective only at the beginning of your next billing cycle.3 -
I think you have to wait until the next bill cycle but in the meantime you may consider to buy some extra minutes. Hope this helps!3
