Jeff yes you can buy another sim and reach fizz to activate it with the same number. The manual here will explain how to do it.

Here are the instructions to replace your SIM card
You can buy a new SIM card if your card or phone was lost or stolen.
1. Go to My Plans in your Fizz account.
2. Scroll to the Plan you wish to change.
3. Click on Manage and choose Change SIM.
4. Select Order a SIM card.
5. Select your reason for ordering a new SIM card and click Continue.
6. Add your shipping address. This is the address where we will ship your SIM card. It may or may not be the same as your home address.
7. Choose your shipping method.
8. Select a payment method and click Submit order to pay for your SIM card.
9. ... When you receive your SIM card, go back to Change SIM and select Activate your SIM to replace it.
For your convenience, you can also pick up a SIM card at Coop UQAM or Couche-Tard in the Montreal area:
Once you have the SIM card, if you have trouble with step 9 to activate it. Fizz invites you to contact customer service by chat to help you activate it while keeping your current number and plan.

You need to order a new one. It should take minimum two days to arrive.
I kindly invite you to order a new SIM card that we will be able to assist on replacing under your plan, from Overview-> Get started-> Mobile-> Order a new SIM card, as also shown here:
After you receive it, in order to activate it, please contact us on chat(our only secure communication channel) and provide us with a picture of an ID card where we can see your name and home address alongside the activation code for the new SIM/ a picture of the code so we would be able to activate the new SIM card on your account.
