It's not normal for any modem to power off by itself, is it possible that power is disconnecting at the wall plug? is your modem connected to a surge protector? try another wall outlet, if the same occurs contact Fizz Support.10

It turns off intermittently. There’s no any AC drops on the line. Plugged the tester and it keeps AC steady line - tech support doesn’t answer.
Modem was replaced 2 months ago for a used one by FIZZ, as the first had communication issues - I guess the second died too.8 -

Trying to get tech looking into the issue for the last 2 hours - no answers.
Learned a good lesson, never to accept any used equipment.
Thank you for your help.10 -
Keep trying to reach Fizz and ask for help. That’s the less they can do. They can send you a tech to test your service.9

Alex
It's not normal that modems power off without a cause, power is being interrupted some how, see if the same happenes with a different wall outlet by an extension cord.
You can email fizz support for this issue, they will respond within few hours.10 -
Is there any email I can use?
Thanks9 -
Hi Alexandru,
Just try plugging the modem directly into an outlet, not on a power bar
Hope this helps9 -

You probably need to replace it.6

Good Morning,
FIZZ is refusing to replace the modem as this is not a constant issue. The firmware updates are to be blamed for it, per FIZZ tech>
Checked again all pugs and everything is super OK. Modem restarted itself again this morning - hope to have a result soon - or I will have to start shopping for a different provider.
Thank you all for your help, really appreciated.4 -
