Try to remove the SIM and be sure to insert in the right slot
Some phone have multiple slots and also a slot that can be used for a memory card and the SIM
Take a look on the phone user guide too.
If you have the possibility to test the SIM to a different phone will be great, to be sure that the SIM is not damaged.

You can contact Fizz support by chat, from 8 AM to 9 PM everyday:
1- Connect to your Fizz account by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca
2- Click on this link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/lost-stolen-mobile
3- The green chat bubble should appear after a few seconds in the bottom right corner.11 -

For technical help, you can contact the Fizz support customer service by chat (from 8h00 to 21h00).
First, connect you to your Fizz account.
Then, click on:

Click on the green chat bubble when you see it down to the right of the page.7 -
Close your phone, verify if your SIM card was inserted correctly and put it back. Restart your phone.7

Like the others have said, this will most likely be a problem with the sim card or the phone.2
