In order to use Fizz service outside of the subscription area, you have to Enable Roaming on your phone.
Which plan do you have? Which coverage (Quebec, Canada, Canada+USA) does it have?
You will have service in USA only if you have
- Plan with Canada+USA coverage
- or USA travel Add-On
- or funds in your wallet for Pay As You Go usage
I believe the long distance recording you hear is just the default message you hear when making calls outside of your area. If the call goes through, there is no issue.

Quebec Canada usa
And no it connect with T-Mobile for minutes and then nothing
I turn off my phone and then on nothing
To let you know there is a place called at Sophie connection is not really good that when you come from terbbon7 -
Sainte-Sophie and Terrebonne are well within the subscription area and they should have LTE coverage.
Is this a one-time issue with service (cause there was outage affecting some customers recently) or does it happen frequently?
How is your service otherwise? Does it usually work? Which model phone are you using?

I was in upstate NY last weekend and everything worked, could connect to both AT&T and T-Mobile in Saranac Lake and on the way there from the border. I have the Canada+USA plan. Make sure you have the right APN as well as data roaming otherwise the data won't work. To confirm, did you have Emergency Calls Only, or connection to a network but nothing at all worked (data, phone, SMS)? If Emergency Calls Only, contact Fizz for support.5

Hi Maze,
To be able to use our services while you are in USA you will need to make sure that you have your Roaming data ON. After you check and set your APN settings properly, you need to manually connect to AT&T or T-Mobile for the best coverage in the country. Here you can find the steps to configure your APN: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn .
Have a good one!
