Why do I get this error when I try to adjust my account?

Important – any change to your plan must be made 48 hours before the end of your payment cycle. During those 48 hours, systems are frozen and no change can be made. You’ll therefore have to wait for the next payment cycle.

No, 48 hours before the end of the payment cycle you will not be able to make any change to your plan. The system just will not allow you to change your plan BUT you will not see such an error message as the billing cycle is invalid. Something else must be responsible for that.
