Why doesn't my data work on fizz ext network?

When I am on the fizz ext network my data won't work at all. Calling and texting are okay but none of the recommendations I found on here seems to fix it.
There is a capital R letter on the network triangle thing too instead of the usual 4g or LTE

R is just for roaming, it's not part of the letter system differentiating between different 2G, 3G, 4G speeds. Is your phone data set to allow data while roaming?

I have run into the same issue. When at home I am on Fizz EXT and not receiving data or MMS. Is this simply a 'where the partner towers are located' issue that I must live with? I did not have this issue with my previous provider, nor any other provider in my area. Is there any way to force my phone to a tower that will provide complete coverage?

Hello Max,
If you are in a covered area, you should be connected to Fizz network. You can use Fizz Ext when you are travelling in an area which is not covered by our network.

You're Roaming, make sure you turn roaming on, also you need have Canadawide coverage too.
