It sounds like your account may be working OK. As for not receiving SMS, what type of SMS?
If for ~"system authentication", it is a known issue and Fizz Team is working on it. Details:

If your problem is with simple and straight forward SMS, you'll need help from Fizz directly. Use Chat/Facebook for immediate assistance, or "Contact forms" (inside "My Profile" in your account) will take few days. Nice day!

Have you tried going in your Phone cellular settings and manually select another Fizz network, instead of letting your phone auto-select it?12 -
Try this...it might help.
Go to Settings > Network & internet > Mobile networks > Network operators > Search networks
Choose Fizz EXT
I chose the first one Fizz EXT RAT:LTE
Wait a couple of minutes
Go to Settings > Network & internet > Mobile networks > Network operators > Select automatically
This unlocked all the old texts for me and allowed receiving of texts and calls again.

Try this last resort option:
Login to your Fizz Account - Click on the left panel «My Plans» - Click on the green bubble «Manage my Plans» - Click on «Unsubscribe» - It will take you to a new page with the Chat Bubble appearing on the lower right corner.
Or to «My Profile» on the left panel,then click on Contact Forms for them to follow-up with you.13 -
Hi Matthew,
I was able to resolve the issue on my Android Pixel by removing the SIM car, resetting the Wifi, Mobile and Bluetooth.
I then put back the SIM card, the added the APN settings as per instructions.

FYI, the phone number that should show in your SMS settings is 1-438-520-0092

Choosing Fizz EXT manually instead of automatically worked for me.
It scanned for 5 minutes probably, but worked.
Customer service non-existent however. Managed to chat, they said a ticket is issued and i should receive a confirmation in my email. 3 days gone still no email.13 -
