Fizz uses Videotron's network. I don't know about AEI. As Fizz said they have the speed you want, you can get the internet from Fizz, schedule the modem delivery, and when the technician arrives ask him about the speed - s/he will probably do a test in your connections. If it doesn't work, kindly refuse it - or cancel via…

Hi Kyriel, At the Fizz internet plans (https://fizz.ca/en/internet) you can choose one of the speeds and click next. In the following page you will be prompted to fill your address, then they will say if your address is supported by Fizz at that speed. Did you try this?

Hey @dcmilano! Welcome to Fizz \o/
-
Ok :) Again, it can be multiple reasons, starting from the network adapter you use on PC. If it's USB, you can expect slower speed then PCI-e boards, for example. Can't you plug a cable and test it directly? Do it and run speed test several times. If it still varies a lot, then you can contact Fizz to discuss alternatives.…

When I have this kind of issues the first thing I do is change to airplane mode as Whizz suggested. Sometimes the cellphone gets stuck. If it doesn't work even after doing it, then I try rebooting, and at the end I go to customer service if needed :)
-
@Idefizz Yes! I just noticed it, tried to edit, but can't change anymore. Thanks for the link :) @Whisper82 sorry to mark you (now twice!).
-
@Whisper82 Hey! Today I had 2 answers selected as best, but I didn't get the bonus points. It was happening also in the old forum. Is it going to be fixed soon?

For "reliability" you are expecting something like a math formula, always giving the same output. If so, then yes, it's no reliable. But the problem is at the base of your assumption. You want it to be something that is impossible due to different constraints... If you want to learn more about it, please reach google.…

Hi Palax. No, perks have an expiration date, and when expired, they are gone. On the other hand, upgrades can be rolled over just like normal data.
-
Did you have any credit in your account? For example, I had a friend bonus used past month, so my bill was correctly $0. If this is not the case and you were billed on your credit card, then as others suggested, reach out to the customer service to make sure everything is fine ;)

Is @oberon a gravedigger? I suggest @Whizz close all older posts to avoid polluting the recent's list with outdated information. Just saying...

As @Idefizz said, there are many factors to the results: Website you are using. Some do caching to make it faster, so it might impact the final results. Also, remember things in Internet, at some point, hit physical devices. The distance to those devices also impact the results. So, depending on the speed test server…

Hey, As it's probably an Android, you can do this: https://support.vodafone.co.uk/Mobile-plans-Pay-as-you-go-SIM/Voicemail/1464047832/How-do-I-change-the-length-of-time-before-a-call-goes-to-voicemail.htm The steps are: Dial **61*121*11* Then, before pressing call, enter the number of seconds you'd like your phone…

@oberon unburied this post! It's for 2020.

Hi Juliette, I'm afraid the referal bonus can be applied only once, at the moment you create your Fizz account. At this point it won't matter what service you sign up for (mobile or internet). But, as you are already a Fizz client, there's no way to use a friend's code for another service :(

Hey Mystic, I asked about the amount of WiFi networks because in busy areas there's signal congestion, which reduces overall speed. As you live in a house it shouldn't be an issue, though. This is more frequent on big building with dozen of apartments - similar to the place I used to live. In this case you could change the…
-
Yes, you can do it. Many people do it, mainly to add a more powerful router (for example with a wider range area of coverage). Worth trying :)
-
How many devices on your WiFi 5Ghz? Do you live in an area with lots of WiFi networks? Did you try testing the speed with a cable connected directly from the router to the computer?
-
Space for me! Does it mean we could have llamas on space?? 🤩

Cool! Thanks programmers!

Just for the sake of people from the future also wondering the differences among LG Velvet 5. Here's a link that shows each model: https://www.phonemore.com/models/lg/velvet-5g/ Basically, in Canada, the version that is sold is the LMG900UM2. The UM1 and TMY are models sold in US. From this site, the only difference…

Hey! Do you agree that it's not easy to find how to contact you? Every time we have to explain to someone it demands prints and several sentences on how to make it work (login, then reach a FAQ page, etc...). Why don't you just add this chat option to the contact page? A solo link that we can easily share and explain!

It would be interesting to have some clarification from Fizz regarding the approval. Why some messages go to this bucket? Like you said: is it due to the length of the message? Words used? Else? Why most of those messages are never approved? Thanks for bringing this discuttion up.
-
From your picture, your mobile signal was pretty weak, so it probably switched to Videotron's. Also note that Videotron is a sibling company to Fizz, both owned by Quebecor, so they use the same network.
-
Done! Llama FTW!
-
Hey! Here's my referral code if anybody wants :) 986PP Thanks!
-
Yeah, no family plans that gives discount. But if you have multiple services in one account your level will grow faster and you get some perks. Also, if your family is all with Fizz you can sometimes give remaining data GBs to one another.
-
In terms of network, looks like Altima also uses the one from Videotron. What should be your defining criteria should be price and customer service.
-
Ahh, ok. Then, in this case, it still has some value on helping others. Did you ever get a best answer? I had a few and never got 50 points :( Is this really a thing?
-
Yeah, I agree that you need to balance things. People would create any type of questions to earn points, or just don't help in any form. I hope the new changes come in effect as quick as possible :)
