Nope, the perk'll just expire.

I transferred my existing 514. There's a sizable group of people who think 438 numbers are less trustworthy so i can understand that you'd want a 514. Those feelings are ridiculous because 438 numbers have been around for years and is just as valid as any 514. I don't think you can get a 514 with fizz but I could be…

varies heavily based on the amount of people in the chat queue.

I think it's possible if you follow this procedure. https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-port-a-landline-to-a-cell-phone
-
That sounds like a great idea! It would be great to meet the team in person.
-
This is one of Fizz's first issues and it still hasn't been fixed. No ETA was given either.
-
It should be usable as soon as you receive it.
-
This bug is already known by Fizz. We currently have no ETA of when it'll be fixed but the Fizz team says their working on it.
-
Never heard of a situation as strange as this... Something's definitely wrong...
-
Never got the notifications, just set it up manually and it will work just fine.

@Kent T. the OP was refering to android phones
-
You can if you have money in your wallet for pay as you go or purchase a travel add-on.
-
Carriers in canada rarely allow people to use devices purchased from another carrier for wifi calling.
-
Nope, your previous plan is terminated automatically and your ex-provider will bill you what you used during your final billing period. It's part of the porting process.
-
@Kenny L. I already have and they said they don't have the power to force payments and will update me about the problem by email but I'm feeling rather pessimistic at this point.
-
Already updated my payment info and sent a contact form. The payment failed on a perfectly valid credit card so there might be a problem on their end. Just hope I don't get frozen before it gets resolved.
-
You cannot port a number which doesn't originate from the subscription zone.
-
Planète Courier if you're in Montreal.
-
@Rosie for an iPhone you simply need to accept a carrier settings update and your phone will download the APN automatically.
-
You can call USA, it's included in your plan. I've tried it and it worked without having any funds in my wallet.
-
A fix is coming up next week. Stay tuned via the network status page.
-
You need to manually set the APN, the link can be found here. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn
-
I don't think the SIM card is the reason it's restarting, I could be wrong though.
-
Your network would not cause apps on your phone to crash. That just doesn't make sense.
-
If you're using an Android phone, you'll need to set up the APN or you'll have no data service. Nothing to do with the network. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn
-
Seems to be a problem with your device. Try searching Google to get your phone app to stop crashing. That app on Android manages your cell service.

@René, Like when CIBC or Whatsapp sends you a verification code for 2 factor authentication.
