I'm coming from the African context where all you need is a sim card, and then add minutes as you need them. I miss that simplicity and cost-effectiveness since I don't expect to use the phone that much.
I like the choices/flexibility that Fizz offers though. Seems much better than other plans. Unused Data rollover is a huge win. Two weeks in, and I am pretty happy...

Welcome to the forum! If you don't expect to need many minutes you could use the Fizz wallet (if you're on QC - I've also heard it likely works in ON) or get a calling add-on.
The wallet cost is 10 cents per minute within your calling area. You can get a calling add on for your area for $3.00, which gives you 60 minutes. The add on is good until the end of your next billing cycle or when you use it up, whichever comes sooner. That is to say, if you get an add on at the beginning of your cycle, it will be good for 2 months.
