Nokia FastMile 12 + Fizz data-only SIM
Hi All,
Has anyone successfully used an unlocked Nokia FastMile 12 (originally from Rogers) with a Fizz data-only SIM?
I'm planning to use it for Internet access at my cottage in Quebec and would love to hear about real-world experience, APN settings, compatibility, and 4G/5G performance.
Thanks!

Hi Karim! That Nokia router looks interesting. I looked at the 4G and 5G frequencies that it supports, and it looks like every frequency used by Vidéotron (including Freedom and Fizz) is supported by the router! If the router is purchased unlocked from Rogers, it should work perfectly on Fizz, though I cannot confirm this.
I suggest keeping your Fizz plan to data only for this router. It doesn't support voice calls, so adding calls and/or voicemail would not be helpful. I also don't recommend paying for text messaging. If this device has a LAN address that includes a text portal, then you can read received texts on there. I don't believe that this router supports RCS, though. I suggest using a messaging app like Signal or iMessage, as it will be a much better experience.

Hi, this phone is not on Fizz's official supported list for VOLTE, but since it's just for data, it should work fine. Worth a try!

That’s correct, but it’s still the same and not officially supported here.

Feedback: An unlocked Nokia FastMile 12 (formerly Rogers) works with a Fizz data-only Nano SIM. I only had to change the default Rogers APN and disable IPv6. Everything else worked out of the box. 👍
Thanks all for the Help.
