It's difficult to say, you are not giving us any information about what your home town is, what area code it has and what area code Fizz assigned you. Seems hard to believe, that Fizz couldn't provide a number with the correct area code for your home town, provided it is in Fizz' official subscription area. Did you use your actual address from your home town when registering for your Fizz plan?
If Fizz really can't provide the right area code on a new number, another option may be to get a number with your home town's area code from another carrier and then port that to Fizz.
