Plans to make HD calling available between Fizz and Freedom anytime soon?

wife and I were both on freedom. To save a few bucks I switched her to fizz thinking it’s the same network. Her iPhone 15 pro is on the 5G network and definitely supports VoLTE (I did the test). But it really sounds like a tin can when she calls me. When will these two companies link their backend to provide a superior experience for voice?

    Hi, welcome to the forum.

    I don't think they advertise that, Fizz recently introduced WiFI calling but not for every device and there isn't a timeline for rollout.

    thanks! Will wifi calling help with the lack of hd calling I’m experiencing between fizz and freedom though?

    It might help with call quality but only when used from supported WiFI, so would not work during transit and such.

    If it's an issue only between those two lines, I would consider using an app with calling features - Whatsapp or another.

    totally get that I can use alternatives (FaceTime audio, WhatsApp etc) but I’m hoping to see if there is a plan to add it natively.

    I have never experience it, is it only between those two number or provider?
