Technical question - Fizz internet with Videotron TV
Currently with Videotorn internet and Illico on 3 TV's.
If I cancel Videotron internet and activate Fizz internet, will I be receiving 2 separate signals to my house through the coax cable? Meaning one from Fizz for my internet and one from Videotron for my 3 TVs?
Or how would that technically work? Just want to make sure I won't have any issues with either Fizz internet or Videotorn TV, there is currently a splitter to the modem and the TV's. Thank. You.

Hi,
The signals can coexist on the same cable.
There should not be any problems.0 -
Beakbird, thx for the info. So both providers will send their own signal through the same coax cable, Fizz for internet, and Videotoen for cable? I was wondering how that was technically possible.

Do you mean Illico for TV, and Fizz for internet? Do you have a splitter from the cable wire that goes in your house, 1 cable to the modem and 1 cable to the TV? Do you have more that 1 TV? Thx.

I was wondering how that was technically possible.Because the analog signals traveling through the coaxial cable are at different frequencies and contain encoded digital data.
This data is different for both services so each service responds to its own data (oversimplified explanation). One cable from your splitter will go to the Fizz modem (the one that currently goes to your videotron modem) and the second cable from the splitter will go to the Illico terminals (like it currently does).
