I have 2 upgrades of 250mb each and I need to trade them for 1 upgrade of 500mb. ;-)

    If fou have already activate 2 upgrades of 250mb, I suppose fou have 2 slots. Then you just have To change one of your 250 with the 500 mb.

    That is sort of the case when you level up, you get more slots and bigger capacity upgrades

    It is by design, that you cannot. Standard marketing technique, making you think you get more than you really do. Also an incentive to open a 2nd plan in your account to increase the number of available slots.

    Based, on your question, I am going to assume, you are level 3 or 4 and thus have two slots available. At entry reward levels, the progression is supposed to add 250 MB free for every level you achieve. As these levels are easy to achieve. Later levels give better upgrades but are increasingly hard to reach because the number of points you need to collect to go from one level to the next keep increasing while any options to get "free" points you will probably have exhausted by level 3.

    Level 1: 250 MB upgrade & 1 slot = You get 250 MB.
    Level 2: 500+250 MB upgrades & 1 slot = You only get 500 MB (while having 750 MB worth of upgrades).
    Level 3: 500+250+250 MB upgrades & 2 slots = You get 750 MB (while having 1 GB worth of upgrades).
    Level 4: $ rebate + 500+250+250 MB upgrades & 2 slots = You can choose between 750 MB or 500 MB and a $ rebate.
    Level 5: $ rebate + 500+250+250+250 MB upgrades & 3 slots = You can choose between a full 1 GB of free data or 750 MB and a $ rebate.
    Level 6: $ rebate + 500+250+250+250+500 MB upgrades & 3 slots = Only now you can have a full GB of free data AND the $ rebate at the same time.

    See, how the dynamic works? You think, you get 1 GB of free data from level 3 but you actually don't until you hit level 5 if you want it all on a single plan. And only at level 6, you can get both the $ rebate and the free GB and the same plan.

    If you have a 2nd plan, you can use more upgrades simultaneously, but you still won't be getting a full GB of free data on a single SIM card until level 5.

    Actually quite ingenious the design of the Fizz rewards program.
