Does adding extra plans to an existing account give you more upgrades?
Hi - I presently have 1 account (level 8), two mobile plans and 8 upgrades. I'm thinking of adding another mobile plan, but I will only do so if my upgrades goes from 8 to 12. So yeah, just checking with you guys if you can confirm that or not? Thanks

Hi Alexandre G.! I believe that the answer to your question is that each line starts with one upgrade slot, and each can have up to three, but the rate at which slots and actual upgrades are earned remains the same.
For example, at level 8, you have one line with three upgrade slots. Three upgrades are used. Let's say that you use two $1 off and one 1 GB upgrade. On your second line, it could use three of your five other perks, such as two 500 MB and one 250 MB. It's not as impressive, but it's still a nice little boost. With the third line, though, only the two remaining upgrades (two 250 MB, per my example) can be used. It's better than nothing, but it's not a big boost. Level 9 and 10 each come with a nice $1 off upgrade, though.
I hope this helps answer your question! Personally, I'm close to level 4, and I look forward to the $1 off upgrade.

How many upgrades you get (free data, dollar discounts) depends on how many reward points you collect, not on how many plans you have in the account. At least not directly. Indirectly, you will be accumulating points faster with multiple plans in the account as compared to one, because you pay more $$ for multiple plans and each $ gets you 10 more points.
What you do get with multiple plans though is more slots to use upgrades in. So, for example, I am level 4, so I have two upgrade slots available. However, I do have two plans, and I am getting two upgrade slots for each plan. So, I can actually activate four upgrades. Thus, I have
- $1 rebate & 500 MB free data on one plan and
- 2x 250 MB free data, for a total of 500 MB, on the other.

Each plan will have 3 slots, and you can divide your upgrades between them.

That's exactly what I'm doing (also at level 4). It's nice that when I progress through to other levels that I will be able to make more use of the upgrades, spreading them across my two phone lines.
