is Fizz compatible with any non smartphone devices like an ipad mini with cellular data?

Hi,
There shouldn't be an issue as long as the device supports SIM or eSIM and you can configure network on it.

Fizz also offers a trial period where you can cancel a plan and get a refund should it now work and you choose to cancel.
