Hi, I have set up a Data only sim and want to know if I can receive MMS, such as 2FA codes. I don't want to send any. I have received network messages, such MMS setup, romaing and billing notifications.

    Good morning @justotron,
2FA are sent via sms not mms and require a phone number registered to receive them. Incoming sms are always free. If you are able to receive sms from anyone then you will be able to receive 2FA sms. Check your phone settings to see if there is a phone number associated with your plan.
mms uses cellular data, so you will be able to receive mms.
    Cheers,
    Brad

Which every Fizz plan has, regardless of whether you have unlimited texts or voice in or plan or not.

Does your SIM have a phone number? if yes, you can receive sms for free. If no, you can use voip service to make calls or mms.

    Hello justotron ,

From what we are aware, 2FA codes are sent via SMS not MMS - but both SMS and MMS services work with fizz.

Just make sure that your plan includes Data and Texts if you want the MMS feature to work.

More details can be found here : https://fizz.ca/en/faq/abcs-fizz-mobile-services and here : https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn

For the MMS - you also need to make sure that you have the correct APN settings :

    • APN: mobile.bm
    • MMSC: http://mms.mobile.bm
    • MMS proxy: mmsproxy.mobile.bm
    • MMS port: 80
    • APN type: default,mms,supl

      Have a good one,
