Is Fizz Scamming Us on Data Usage? Or Am I Missing Something?

Hi everyone,

I’m new to Fizz and I’m honestly really confused — and a bit frustrated. My plan includes 1 GB of data, and it showed as completely used within just 3 days. This makes no sense because I was home most of the time connected to Wi-Fi, and with my previous provider I barely used 2.5 GB in an entire month.

I’ve only been with Fizz for 3 days and I already feel scammed. I tried contacting customer support through chat, but they’re not replying at all.

Has anyone else experienced unusually fast data consumption with Fizz? Is this a common issue, or could something be wrong with how my data was calculated?

Any insights or similar experiences would be really helpful. I’m just trying to understand whether this is normal or if I should check something on my device or account.

Thanks in advance!

Some background task can use data instead of wifi and maybe you have lost wifi without notice. I check my data frequently and it seem accurate all the time. Hope Fizz can find more and help you.

Your phone has a data counter. It has separate counters per sim card, so if you have just changed to Fizz, it should accurately reflect your data usage since you started using Fizz. See if it matches what Fizz says you have used. You should also be able to identify the app(s) that used all the data.

iPhone: Settings -> Cellular -> (scroll down) Cellular Data
Android's are all different but something like Settings -> Network and Internet -> SIMs -> App data usage

Normally no, everything was ok until now. You should insist on contacting the customer service.

Hi, no problem here, same for me, I have 1 gig.

Normally, my phone use about 10 to 15 MB a day for phone services and such.

I’ve practically disabled all apps from running in the background.

It’s probably an update or some apps that downloaded, maybe streaming too.

Check your profile to see your daily downloads.

Contact support with mode private with Firefox or InPrivate of Edge. Possible too to send private message to @Whizz here.
