I'm actually very interested in suggestions; I have young teenagers who wants to invite friends over and watch scarry movies.. but I feel like the movies I know about might be a bit "too scary" ?
Not sure if there is a middle ground, with movies worth watching... lol0 -

I don't rewatch movies every year, maybe every other year. But when I was child with cable, I would love watching Twitches and Twitches 2 on Disney and many other Disney channel 90's/early 2000s movies. I didn't mind if it played every year.

Maybe some blockbuster horror movies that are rated PG-13? I haven't really caught up with horror movies but haunted house movies like the Insidious franchise (I think the story from 1 and 2 are great. The rest of the franchise, not so much) or the Conjuring franchise might work? The first few movies of those franchises came out when I was a young teen so I must have also watched it as a young teen.
Another idea is zombie movies! Those are more suspenseful than scary. I'm thinking things like Train to Busan.

The exorcistA rare classic I don’t like, maybe it was different back when it released, but now it is hard to watch IMO

I think the V/H/S series is stupid fun anthology horror with the only theme that its handheld recorded. Sometimes, the shorts are shitty, sometimes genuinely good. Never know what to expect, but not for everyone probably.0

Evil Dead 2 fantastic Halloween movie. Don't even need to watch the first. It's just a campier reimagining of the first basically.0

Not a movie but since the evil dead keeps coming up you could try Ash vs the evil dead tv series.
