Fizz vs Fizz-EXT networks

My home is borderline Fizz.
It's 50-50 if it'll connect to Fizz.
Even if it connects it might not have LTE (I need to manually select Fizz-EXT).
My question is if I'm registered to a Fizz-EXT network and then I drive to where there is strong Fizz coverage will it switch to Fizz even though it says Fizz-EXT?

    Hi again @bjlockie
I have never tried this out but am interested in the results (I just leave mine on automatic. I am most of the time on EXTdespite being in the service area) my only available choices are Fizz EXT anyway in my home. Currently I am Fizz EXT with one bar of LTE (I realize that bars are not a calibrated measure, but just a rough indication of signal strength :-))
I am running 106 Mbps down and 2.67 up and is reporting Videotron even though it is EXT.
Would you be able to test it and let us know?

If you set your phone to manually register on a specific network, such as one of the Fizz EXT, it will stick with that network and not switch back to the native Fizz. You have to set network selection back to automatic if you want the phone to register on Fizz native once available.

I set it to automatic but it never seems to switch to Fizz.
That's why I wondered if it is switching but not changing the name.

    Hello @bjlockie ,

We kindly recommend you to reset your network settings, then set your phone to connect automatically to the network.
Setting network selection to automatic lets your phone choose the best available carrier network based on signal strength and compatibility, ensuring a stable connection for calls and texts without needing manual changes.
Thank you for your kind understanding.
    Have a nice day!
