    Hi @Salvatore T.

This question is for support. Nowadays, this is a vital feature.

@Whizz I believe that you should answer to this question

We should skip 2FA (or have it as a last resort option) and ask Fizz to implement MFA instead.

There's no reason for us to still be using SMS 2FA when TOTP is much more secure in light of recent events.

2FA means having two methods of authentication; it doesn't mean that SMS has to be the second method. MFA means offering multiple options for the second authentication.

I believe TOTP with Google authenticator or the like would be great.

@Whizz Why is this still not the norm for our security with Fizz?

We haven't had an official announcement yet so I'm hoping they're working on it in the background.

With the recent incidents I would guess that something is being worked on to increase security.

Missing a second (multi) factor of authentication is preventing me from recommending Fizz to others. The risk of account compromise is simply too high. As soon as MFA is available, I’d gladly bring people to the service. I keep two numbers with different carriers, and the other has MFA, so I have more protecting there against account compromise and number hijacking. I'd also like to start using my Fizz number with important and trusted institutions like banks and health systems. The irony is both Fizz and Freedom Mobile are owned Videotron falling under the Quebecor umbrella and Freedom has a second factor of authentication so it should be manageable for them. My assumption is because Fizz is a totally automated service they are concerned about support calls from people locking themselves out of their accounts with TFA/MFA. My preference is security over convenience.

I would agree if Fizz implemented 2-factor authentication.

Maybe they can implement passkeys to replace passwords to provide greater security.

MFA is necessary nowadays. Hopefully Fizz will implement it.
