VoLTE compatible phone for 1$, but taxes ...

I have an offer from Fizz , that I can get a "preloved" phone for 1$ to replace my not VoLTE compatible phone. However the price that I finally pay is 18 $, because I have to pay all the taxes on the price they claim the phone would cost. That's ridiculous. So I'm paying taxes on something that I don't pay. Anyone having an explanation about why is that ?

    Hello @Nilvap,

    Thank you for letting us know about this.

    I verified your account, and I can see that you managed to submit an order, and the taxes amount appears to be 0,15$. The total amount you should pay is 1,15$.

    However, it appears that the transaction for the phone was not processed yet even though the order is confirmed.

    To make sure that there are no issues with the order, I escalated a ticket to our technical team. You can see it in your Fizz account under My settings > My tickets. Also, you will be informed via email as soon as we have an update.

    It seems ridiculous since you pay 1$ and the taxes must be on 1$
    In the other hand 18$ can be a good deal too why they didn’t offer for 15$ +tx

    Probably it is an error with the gui

    Check your credit card, you will see the actual amount that was charged

    They are sales taxes therefore they must be applied after the rebate @Whizz you should open a ticket

    For those who can potentially get the same screen that I got, it is just a visualization error !
    At the end the system will charge you only 1.15 $
