Hello,

I've purchased a Samsung S20 FE 5G (not from Fizz). It's on the VoLTE list, I have the sim card with the red lightning and the latest software is up to date on the phone. However, it fails the call test. (#TEST (#8378).

Is there something I'm missing ?

Thanks,

Karine.

Make sure Volte is enabled in SIM settings, then reboot. If that doesn't help check for updates.
I recently learned that IMS service specific to your device could also cause issue registering properly to network and getting VoLTE, so make sure whatever IMS service you have isn't disabled or blocked on network.

    Hi
It is your phone from the Canadian market? Check the model number
navigate to the "About phone" section in your device's settings

    SM-G781B: International version.
    SM-G781U: US version.
    SM-G781U1: US unlocked version.
    SM-G781W: Canadian version.
SM-G7810: China and Hong Kong version.
    SM-G781N: Korean version.

Very important Canadian or ISA models work.

Possible this model is for International and not for North America.

Fizz guarantee the working of the phone that are on the list only if it is for Canadian market, and it doesn't block the other, however, the other model cannot have the right configuration to work with Fizz

    Hello @Karine_Lemay

I am sorry for your situation.
If your phone did not passed the Volte test, it means it is not VoLTE-compatible at Fizz. Fizz can only guarantee the correct operation of the phones it markets.
Please consult our FAQ for more details: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices
Thank you for your kind understanding.
    Have a nice day.
