New version of the Fizz TV app on Samsung and LG smart TVs

Hello dear Fizz TV users!

Our technical teams are constantly working to improve the user experience of the Fizz TV app, and we have good news.

We have just deployed an update for Samsung and LG smart TVs compatible with the Fizz TV app.
The list of compatible models can be found here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-connect-device-view-my-tv-content

The new version of the app is as follows, depending on the TV:

  • LG TV: 1.0.46.370
  • Samsung TV: 1.0.46.242

The app is supposed to update automatically, but there’s a chance the update may not happen right away. It’s better to check which version is installed and update manually if it’s still an older version.

    My samsung works but pausing causes it to crash.

    Hi uninstall and try again. Possible problem with cache.
    What is your models?

    Nice! Just updated the app on my Samsung TV and it's running way smoother now. The new interface looks cleaner too. Still hoping they add a resume watching feature though — that would make it perfect

    I have a Samsung U8000 58" tv but can't find the Fizz App, I have to use my Chromecast instead. Can you help me find it or it's not available for my tv?

    Update your tv and check if your tv is set to Canada. Shut off the VPN for this.

    You need to update your TV for this. My friend did the same.

    Do you guys recommend the Fizz tv app? When they launched it I considered it but I couldn't really find a use for it in this digital age.
