Some callers getting "Not in Service" message when calling my number

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help or offer insight.

Some people — especially businesses or VOIP-based systems — are getting a message that my number is “not in service” when they try to call me. The number works fine for most other callers, and I can make outgoing calls and texts with no issue.

I suspect this might be a call routing issue, or possibly a porting issue if my number wasn’t properly updated across all carrier networks (I did switch to Fizz recently and brought my number with me).

Has anyone experienced this before?
I'd really appreciate any advice or help from Fizz staff or fellow users. I'm also reaching out to Fizz support directly, but figured I'd check here too in case others have dealt with this.

    I read a similar problem couple of weeks ago, I don't know if it was you

    Can you point out a specific person which as this problem, if this is the case give the exact time to the support and they will be able to push the investigation https://fizz.ca/en/support

    Since you say some people so reach you, I wouldn't think it's a porting issue. You should contact Fizz service through the app or WhatsApp for support.

    I have had several people tell me that they get a message that my number is not in service. As one of those numbers is my pharmacy, this needs to fixed asap. I joined Fizz last summer and for the most part, the service has been great. But I can't have anyone thinking my number is not working. Do you need the numbers that report this problem... Help?

    Do you have voicemail on your number?
    Sounds like routing.
    Did you get a new number?
    Contact support.

    Omg that would be a huge inconvenience, I'm sorry! Strange that it's only happening with only some callers. Did you find out if there's any common denominators between the people that aren't able to call you? Like are they all with the same company or something maybe? idk
