How to let Fizz add more phones on their VoLTE list?
It seems like they are just trying to ingore this problem. It's such a shame that they can't help you at all.

You can try to ask here and the whizz will read your post and he/she will pass the information to the right department
You're right, I suspect a lot of users will switch providers when the 3g shutdown comes in affect, unless Fizz will expend their compatibility.
It's such a shame because I had referred many new users to this carrier. I don't know who is the manager of this company but he/she is not doing anything helping their customers. This is the worst carrier I have ever used.
Normaly phone is certified before is buy. After probably not!!!
If you call the number below it till tell you if your phone works with volte on fizz. It may not be on the lost but if you get a message something like you have made a volte call then your phone probable will continue to work after the change.
With Fizz call #8378 and listen to the message.
Maybe on the future they will ad some other phones in the list.
Not completely a Fizz problem. A bit more complicated. :-)
From the FAQ:
“Now, the question on everyone’s lips, why are certain phones VoLTE certified for some Canadian operators, but not for others?
A mobile phone’s VoLTE certification is the result of a technical and commercial agreement between the manufacturer and the operator. Because each operator sets its own requirements and certifications, a given phone may be compatible with VoLTE for one operator, but not for another.
Here are the reasons why compatibility may differ between operators:
The certification process of a phone can continue for a few months following its commercial launch. If a device is declared non-compatible with an operator’s VoLTE configuration, it is rare for the manufacturer to modify the phone afterwards to make it compatible.Note:
If you bring your own phone, and that phone is not on our list of VoLTE-compatible phones, it could still have the VoLTE feature and be able to place calls on the LTE network. Fizz will not, under any circumstances, block or prevent the operation of VoLTE on a phone that hasn’t been certified by the company. If the phone is compatible with the Fizz VoLTE configuration, it will be able to make VoLTE calls. However, we cannot guarantee the proper functioning of that VoLTE service on our network.”
For me, this is the best carrier I have used in the 25 years that I have had a cell phone. With the money I save (I saved 85.00 a month when I switched two phones in June of 2024), I could easily buy a new phone off their list every year and break even.
Cheers,
Brad
I don't believe that all the operators use the same frequencies.
4G LTE Frequencies:
Band 4: AWS (1700/2100 MHz)
What does that mean ?
Hopefully. The current certified list is really short and most people won't be able to use Fizz with their current phones.
I have several models that pass the dialing test and are VoLTE compatible, but according to Fizz will not work after the 3g shutdown since they are not on the certified list.
what devices you have? Any OnePlus phones? If a samsung or iPhone for sure they will work.. but people should have the relatively freedom to choose their phones —— a larger list
Not easy like this. Even if you have a working 4G phones you may still have problem on being registered on Fizz's IMS network (VoLTE), I tried Pixel IMS, tried forcely adding IMS APN but none of the methods are working.
Yeah, getting VoLTE to work on Fizz can be tricky, even with a fully compatible 4G phone. Fizz has a pretty strict whitelist for VoLTE devices, and even if your phone technically supports it, it might not get properly registered on their IMS network.
I’ve seen some people have success by manually forcing the IMS settings or tweaking APN configurations, but it’s definitely not a guaranteed fix. Have you checked if your phone is officially supported by Fizz for VoLTE? If not, sometimes a different SIM card (even temporarily) can trigger IMS registration.
Curious—has anyone else found a reliable workaround for this issue? 🤔
Hello 3_fizz ,
Sorry to hear about the issue.
I verified the previous conversation that you had with our customer service, and when they asked you about the phone that you transferred to our network , it appears that you did not recognize the said number.
So either you have another account or maybe you made a mix-up on your side.
It`s easier to either contact our customer service on chat or even send us a message on private since posts can become too convoluted and with too many details to actually keep up.
To reach our customer service again, follow link : https://fizz.ca/en/support , confirm the number that you transferred, e-mail address associated with the account
Thank you for your understanding.
Have a good one,
