Why my add-ons data not working in Japan?

I hope this could help others in case you need data roaming outside Canada.
i bought add-ons roaming data 1GB to use in Japan. Unfortunately it didn’t work and left me alone in a country with little English speaking people. I almost lost in the Tokyo. Indeed I made a huge mistake trusting Fizz for this. Can Fizz let me know why this happened and why it is so hard to find an agent to discuss the issue? I tried contacting Fizz but it didn’t work for me.

    Hi @Aref

    Did you enable data roaming? Is your network operator set to automatic?
    Was your phone able to receive a signal? Some frequencies in Japan are different from those in North America.

    After verifying your Fizz account I was not able to find any Travel Add on for Japan therefore this is why your services are not working while travelling. 
    There is a purchase however for a regular Add on for data, which is working only in your coverage zone.
    In order to buy a Travel Add on please access My plans- Manage plans- Travel Add-ons and from there follow the on-screen steps.

    The Travel Add on will be available right away therefore please make sure that the roaming option is activated on your phone.
