PSA: Enable WiFi calling on android before testing for VoLTE

I tried the VoLTE compatibility test by dialing #8378,
my phone failed with the message "the number you have tried to reach does not exist"
I then disabled and renabled VoLTE under my android's Settings » Network & Internet » SIMs
and enabled WiFi Calling in the same menu.
After rebooting I dialed again and got the compatibility confirmation recording.
Hope this helps someone.

This probably won't work for most people as Fizz' network profile tells the phone to hide both the VoLTE as well as the WiFi calling options from the user interface.

the profile should be hidden if you phone is compatible since they providing

I've tried this both an iPhone that does work for VoLTE as well with an Android phone that doesn't and in fact gets the same "number does not exist" message. Neither shows the VoLTE or WiFi calling options in their user interfaces with the Fizz SIM card while both do with a different SIM card.

That depends on your OS.

Sorry it didn't work for you.
Could still work on some models, as it did for me.

It won't work on most phones running the stock OS without custom modifications. As they will abide by the installed network profile. That's all I am saying.
Yes, it may work on rooted phones with custom modifications, maybe even for some vendors that decided to ignore network profiles in their stock OS. But maybe that is the reason then that they won't get certified.

Samsung Galaxy A03 Core (SM-A032F/DS).
As you can see, Fizz SIM card is on SIM 2. SIM 1 is SIM from abroad. You get a VoLTE menu entry for SIM 1 but not for SIM 2. Also, if you look really close at the status icons upper right corner, SIM 1 is registered for VoWiFi. The phone is bought in Canada and not from the origin country of SIM 1.
