How do you compare electric vehicles to gas ones in Canadian winters and on long trips?

I hope that the electric car systems get that needed improvement in a near future.

That is for sure.

The technology is making life so easy in some fields but costly on other hand.

Expensive, especially when the reliability is doubtful.

Yeah, that makes some people trust old fashion way when they see where they leave their money.

With Canadian winter, I feel the gas vehicles may not be that easy to be replaced by EVs.

Electric vehicles perform well in Canadian winters but may have reduced range due to cold temperatures. On long trips, charging stations can be less frequent, but planning ahead helps. Gas vehicles have the advantage of easier refueling, especially in remote areas.

Your experiences? I have heard 2 cases that vehicles refuse to start or break down below -25 Celsius because the battery freezes. As well as the hybrids or the starter works on 400 volts or more.

I haven't heard that from anyone I know with an EV, but looking online it doesn't seem like EV manufacturers offer heating blocks like other cars do so that does makes sense.

Car battery gets weaker at big minuses so that causes delay to start electric vehicle.
Block heaters are designed to work as heaters in car engine oil in vehicles with gas combustion. On the other hand, electric vehicles do not oil to operate engine and there is no engine but electric motors that operate to move that vehicle; so that is the difference.

Oh that makes sense.
Thank you
