Data Usage calculation

I use my data only for hotspot because I often have to work offsite taking care of an elderly friend. What I find weird is that the usage according to Fizz and my phone can differ drastically.

So according to Fizz, on Jan. 4th alone, I've used over 18GB of data but according to my phone, it's probably only 3GB. When I checked my usage on Jan. 3rd, it showed that 18.24GB was used on the 3rd but somehow that usage has deferred to the 4th when I checked my account just a couple of minutes ago? Why does the usage shift? Is it due to the time zone difference (I'm in B.C. and Fizz is in QC?)

What is even more weird is that I did not use my Fizz phone yesterday at all so it's impossible that much data was consumed while it was lying around (no update or background app running). Anyone know what's going on?

    Hi @HYC

Only the support can help you out about this, what I can say that other users report this kind of problem from time to time, https://fizz.ca/en/support , and click on the green bubble on the bottom right of the page in order to chat with them to find the right solution for you.

    Hi @HYC

My account shows weird things also. I almost linked it shows on the day, the cumulative total until the next day and then settles it out, or something weird like that.

Like Elena said, best to contact support to get a better explanation.

    Cheers,

    Brad
